Alessandra
Marianelli is considered one of the most promising sopranos of her generation.
Ms Marianelli started an
international career that brought her to sing in major opera houses and
festivals, including: Maggio Musicale in Florence; Opera and Accademia Nazionale
Santa Cecilia in Rome; Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; Carlo Felice in Genoa;
Comunale in Bologna; Filarmonico in Verona; Regio in Turin; Real de Madrid;
Opéra de Monte-Carlo; Opera de Bilbao; Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels;
San Carlo in Naples; Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata. In
September 2010 she made her United States debut performing in Don Giovanni
with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Roberto Abbado conducting. She then
appeared as Xenja in Boris Godunov in Turin. She then sang Rossini’s
Stabat Mater in Florence under the baton of Zubin Mehta; Un Ballo in
Maschera at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo; La Serva Padrona (Serpina) at
the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi; and Ein deutsches Requiem in Rome. She also
added other important roles to her repertoire: Musetta (La Bohème) in
Riga and Florence, Cherubino in (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Teatro Real
de Madrid, Juliette (Roméo et Juliette)at the Teatro Carlo Felice in
Genoa. Ms. Marianelli lately returned to Jesi singing La Fuga in Maschera
(Corallina- Corrado Rovaris conducting), then revived in Naples, La
Sonnambula in Monte-Carlo, Carmen (Micaëla)
at the Macerata Opera Festival and at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Gianandrea
Noseda conducting.
Future plans: La Sonnambula in Bari;
Così Fan Tutte in Cagliari; Orfeo ed Euridice in New York; Haydn’s
Il Mondo della Luna in Monte-Carlo.
